People heading to Vienna Airport usually search for terms like “Vienna Airport parking”, “cheap parking Vienna Airport”, “Park & Fly Vienna” or “long-stay parking Vienna Airport”. The obvious answer is a space right by the terminal. Depending on how long you are away, which car park you pick and when you book, though, a space in Vienna combined with the train can be worth considering too.

That is exactly where Park & Fly with Repark comes in: you reserve a space in a Repark garage in Vienna, leave your car there for the whole trip and continue to Vienna Airport by Railjet, Intercity, S7 or Vienna Airport Bus.

3. You walk or ride to the nearest station.
4. You continue to Vienna Airport on public transport.

That is particularly relevant for travellers who approach Vienna from a specific direction, who find a low-priced Repark location on their route, or who already hold a KlimaTicket or another valid public transport ticket.

Vienna Airport parking: when is Repark a good alternative?

A Repark space followed by a train ride can suit your trip if:

• you want to reserve parking for several days in advance,
• you are driving to Vienna and would rather not continue to the airport by car,
• a garage sits on your route into the city,
• you can comfortably manage a short walk and a train ride with your luggage,
• you already hold a suitable public transport ticket,
• you need a digital invoice for a business trip,
• you have checked the whole connection before booking.

It is less suitable if you have a lot of heavy luggage, if you are travelling with small children and need the most direct route possible, if there is no suitable public connection at night, or if you expect a guaranteed shuttle straight to the terminal. In those cases, parking right at the airport can be the more practical option despite the higher price.

Is Park & Fly with Repark cheaper than parking at Vienna Airport?

There is no honest way to promise a blanket saving. Prices at Vienna Airport vary by car park or parking area, length of stay, availability and whether you book online. Repark prices can change as well.

• + the journey to the airport
• + the journey back
• = your real total price

Then compare that figure with the current all-in price of the airport car park you had in mind.

An example: as of 15 July 2026, Garage Quartier Belvedere starts at 7 euros a day, Garage Viehmarktgasse and Garage St. Marx at 8 euros a day, Garage Bhf Wien Meidling likewise at 8 euros and Garage Wien Hauptbahnhof at 17 euros a day. The cheapest Repark day rate is not automatically the best Park & Fly solution. A location further out can mean extra changes, longer walks or higher ticket costs. What decides it is always the combination of price, accessibility and timetable.

Important right now: S-Bahn closures in Vienna in 2026 and 2027

This section matters a great deal for planning. Vienna’s S-Bahn Stammstrecke is being comprehensively modernised, and that changes connections to Vienna Airport too.

4 July to 6 September 2026

During this period no S-Bahn trains run between Wien Praterstern and Wien Floridsdorf. A rail replacement service connects Praterstern, Traisengasse, Handelskai and Floridsdorf.

What that means: the Repark locations Traisengasse and Floridsdorf are close to stations in principle, but in summer 2026 they are not straightforward, direct Park & Fly locations. Allow extra time and changes, or pick a location south of the closed section.

7 September 2026 until an expected end of October 2027

In this phase the Stammstrecke between Wien Hauptbahnhof and Wien Praterstern is closed. For journeys to the airport, ÖBB lists changes including:

• The S7 runs to and from Wien St. Marx.
• The REX7 is diverted via Wien Hauptbahnhof.
• Railjet and Intercity trains continue to serve the airport via Wien Hauptbahnhof.
• Replacement buses are planned for the CAT between Wien Mitte and the airport.

Garage Viehmarktgasse and other locations around St. Marx therefore become more important for the S7. Thanks to the long-distance trains, Hauptbahnhof remains a comparatively reliable option.

Even so, always check your specific connection in the ÖBB timetable shortly before you travel. Engineering works, timetable changes, cancellations and the time of your flight can all change the actual route and journey time.

Repark locations for Park & Fly: it is not only about the direct S7

There is no single best garage for Park & Fly. What matters is the direction you arrive from, how many bags you have, your vehicle, the time of your flight and the timetable on the day.

A location with a direct rail connection can be more comfortable. A cheaper garage with one short change can still pay off across several days. It helps to think of the Repark locations in three groups:

1. locations that are easiest to plan around, at Hauptbahnhof, in Meidling and around St. Marx,
2. strong locations while the S7 runs normally, in the north of Vienna,
3. alternatives using the U-Bahn and the Vienna Airport Bus.

Garage Wien Hauptbahnhof: the fastest rail connection

• Distance to Hauptbahnhof: around 300 metres

If you want to reach Vienna Airport by train as quickly as possible, the area around Hauptbahnhof offers one of the strongest connections. ÖBB Railjet and Intercity trains run to the airport every half hour, with the fastest services taking from about 15 minutes.

Garage Wien Hauptbahnhof suits travellers who value a short walk to the station and a dependable direct connection.

Before booking, check that the facilities and vehicle dimensions match what you need.

Garage Quartier Belvedere: cheaper, close to Hauptbahnhof

Garage Quartier Belvedere is within walking distance of Wien Hauptbahnhof and is an attractively priced Park & Fly alternative. From there you also take a Railjet or Intercity to the airport.

The key limitation is the low entrance height of just 1.4 metres. The garage is therefore only an option for vehicles that safely fit within the stated dimensions. Check your vehicle height and the location photos carefully before you book.

During the Stammstrecke closure from September 2026, plan on walking to Hauptbahnhof for the airport journey rather than counting on a connection from the Quartier Belvedere station.

Garage Bhf Wien Meidling: sensible from the south and west

The garage at Bahnhof Wien Meidling is especially suitable for travellers arriving from the south or west who would rather not drive further into the centre.

According to ÖBB, Railjet and Intercity connections from Wien Meidling take from about 26 minutes to the airport. Some services require a change at Wien Hauptbahnhof. So this is not a blanket 20-minute direct connection, but depending on the timetable it can be very convenient.

The garage is covered and accessible around the clock. With heavy luggage, factor in the walk to the station.

Garage Viehmarktgasse: a strong option around Wien St. Marx

Thanks to its position in the 3. Bezirk, Garage Viehmarktgasse is one of the most interesting Repark options for continuing on the S7. Repark puts the St. Marx S stop around 190 metres away. Do check the exact walking route to the S-Bahn platform before you travel.

From 7 September 2026 the S7 runs to and from Wien St. Marx because of the Stammstrecke closure, which makes this location more important for trips during that construction phase.

The parking area is not covered but, according to Repark, is monitored by video.

Garage St. Marx can be interesting for Park & Fly as well. It sits in the area around St. Marx and is served by tram line 71. For the onward journey to the airport, check the specific walking route or connection to the Wien St. Marx S-Bahn station yourself.

The location is attractively priced, but it is neither covered nor video-monitored. From September 2026, St. Marx is the start and end point of the S7 within Vienna.

Strong locations while the S7 runs normally

Garage Traisengasse: just two minutes’ walk to the S-Bahn

On a regular schedule, Garage Traisengasse is clearly one of the strongest Repark locations for Park & Fly. The S-Bahn station is only two minutes away on foot, and the S7 normally reaches the airport without an additional change inside the city. The garage is covered and accessible around the clock.

During the summer closure until 6 September 2026, a bus replaces the S-Bahn between Traisengasse and Praterstern. During the main closure from 7 September 2026, the S7 only runs to and from St. Marx. Traisengasse remains a relevant location, but the route is less direct in both construction phases.

Garage Floridsdorf: Park & Fly from the north

On the regular timetable, Garage Floridsdorf is particularly suitable for travellers from the Weinviertel, northern Lower Austria and the north of Vienna. Bahnhof Floridsdorf is only a few minutes’ walk away and is normally served by the S7.

In 2026 and 2027 this connection is considerably restricted by the Stammstrecke closures. Until 6 September 2026 there are replacement buses between Floridsdorf and Praterstern. From 7 September 2026 there is no through S7 connection to the airport via the city centre.

While the S7 runs normally it is a sensible budget alternative for several days of travel. During the construction phases, the same restrictions apply as for Traisengasse. The U6 adds further options for changing, depending on when you travel.

Garage Messe-Prater: to the Vienna Airport Bus via Krieau

• Distance to U2 Messe-Prater: around 3–5 minutes’ walk

Garage Messe-Prater is not only useful for trade fairs and events. The U2 takes you one stop to Krieau, where Vienna Airport Bus line VAB 3 stops on its direct run to the airport, with no further change.

The VAB 3 generally runs hourly and only within certain operating hours, so it does not always fit very early departures or late return flights. The advantage: the bus connection does not depend on the S-Bahn Stammstrecke closure.

Alternatively, the U2 takes you to Praterstern, where — depending on the construction phase — S7 or additional bus connections to the airport are available.

From Nestroyplatz the U1 takes you just one stop to Praterstern. On a regular schedule you change there onto the S7 to the airport. During the main closure from September 2026, the additional Vienna Airport Bus connection from Praterstern is the relevant option instead.

The garage is covered and video-monitored. Because of the change involved it is not a top recommendation for a lot of luggage, but it is a plausible alternative for travellers arriving centrally or from around Leopoldstadt.

Garage Humboldtgasse: one U1 stop to Hauptbahnhof

From Keplerplatz the U1 takes you one stop to Wien Hauptbahnhof, where you change onto a Railjet or Intercity to the airport. This chain stays comparatively stable even during the Stammstrecke closure, because long-distance trains continue to serve the airport via Hauptbahnhof.

That makes the garage a cheaper alternative to the location right at Hauptbahnhof. Your vehicle is the deciding factor, though: the spaces are stacked parking platforms with a maximum of 1.5 metres in height, 2.0 metres in width and 4.7 metres in length. For many SUVs, vans, high-roof estates and cars with a roof box, the location is therefore not an option.

Also allow for the change with luggage: it is about three minutes on foot to the U-Bahn, plus the walk from the U1 to the long-distance platform at Hauptbahnhof.

The garage is attractively priced, but with an entrance height of just 1.5 metres it is not suitable for every vehicle. With several changes involved, it is more of a budget and fallback option than the most comfortable Park & Fly solution.

Which Repark location suits your route into the city?

From the south and west

Arriving via the A1, A2 or A21, Bhf Wien Meidling and Wolfganggasse are the obvious choices. If you prefer a shorter walk and a faster direct connection, you can drive on to Wien Hauptbahnhof or Quartier Belvedere. For small vehicles, Humboldtgasse in Favoriten is an additional option, because Hauptbahnhof is only one U1 stop away.

From the north and north-west

While the S7 runs normally, Traisengasse, Floridsdorf and Dresdner Straße are particularly interesting. During the closures in 2026 and 2027, check whether replacement services and changes still make sense, or whether a location further south is the better call.

From the east and south-east

Viehmarktgasse and St. Marx are well placed for continuing on the S7. From September 2026 this area matters even more, because the S7 begins and ends at St. Marx.

From the centre and north-east

Messe-Prater offers access to the direct Vienna Airport Bus line VAB 3 via Krieau. Nestroyplatz is quickly connected to Praterstern by the U1. Both options involve at least one change or an extra walk to the bus stop.

The journey times refer to the train ride from the respective station, or to official minimum journey times. Walking, waiting, changes, tickets and engineering works come on top.

Railjet, S7 or Vienna Airport Bus: which connection fits?

Railjet and Intercity from Wien Hauptbahnhof

The fastest regular ÖBB connection runs via Wien Hauptbahnhof. On the quickest services, Railjet and Intercity trains reach the airport in from about 15 minutes. These trains continue to serve the airport via Hauptbahnhof during the Stammstrecke closure from September 2026.

This option suits Wien Hauptbahnhof and Quartier Belvedere in particular.

Railjet and Intercity from Wien Meidling

From Wien Meidling, ÖBB puts the journey time at from about 26 minutes. Not every service runs to the airport without a change, so check carefully whether your train goes direct or requires a change at Hauptbahnhof.

This connection is the relevant one for Bhf Wien Meidling and Wolfganggasse.

S7 from Wien St. Marx

The S7 can be an attractively priced public connection to the airport. On a regular schedule it also serves stations north of the city centre. Because of the main closure, however, it only runs to and from Wien St. Marx from 7 September 2026.

During this phase, Viehmarktgasse and St. Marx are the Repark locations of particular interest. Traisengasse and Floridsdorf remain well-placed locations, but require different travel chains.

Vienna Airport Bus from Krieau and Praterstern

Line VAB 3 runs from Krieau via Stadion and Donaumarina directly to the airport. It generally operates hourly and within limited hours. For Garage Messe-Prater it is a relevant alternative to the S-Bahn.

During the main closure from September 2026, a reinforced Vienna Airport Bus connection between Praterstern and the airport has also been announced. That keeps Messe-Prater and Nestroyplatz viable Park & Fly starting points, even though the S7 does not connect Praterstern directly with St. Marx in this phase.

CAT from Wien Mitte

The City Airport Train normally connects Wien Mitte with the airport non-stop in 16 minutes. For the main closure from September 2026 until the end of October 2027, replacement buses between Wien Mitte and the airport are planned.

How to book Park & Fly with Repark

1. Pin down your travel dates in full

Note the calendar day you drive in and the calendar day you collect the car. A Repark day booking always runs from 00:00 to 23:59. If your return flight lands late and you collect the vehicle after midnight, the extra day has to be booked.

2. Pick the location by route and vehicle

Open the Repark web interface and look for a location on your route into the city. Check:

• the day rate for the whole period,
• the distance to the station,
• the entrance height and space dimensions,
• whether it is covered and video-monitored,
• opening hours and access,
• current availability.

3. Check the train connection in both directions

Look up not only the outbound journey but the trip back after you land. Allow for flight delays, baggage reclaim, night-time timetables and engineering works. Build in enough of a buffer.

4. Compare the total price

Add up the Repark booking and every ticket you need. Compare that against a space reserved online at Vienna Airport, then decide on price, comfort and time.

5. Book your space digitally

Register in the web interface with your phone number and an SMS code. Choose your dates and vehicle, add your payment details and complete the booking. Repark currently supports common credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay and PayPal.

6. Drive in on the day

Open your active booking on your smartphone. At digitally connected garages, the gate-opening button appears. Also follow the location-specific instructions in the web interface. Then park in a marked Repark space and head for the station.

Parking for several days: what to keep in mind with Repark

For a short break, a business trip or a longer flight, you can book several days together. The following applies:

• Bookings are made by calendar day, not by the hour.
• You can reserve up to six months in advance.
• During an active booking you can generally drive in and out more than once.
• Bookings that have already started can no longer be cancelled.
• An extension is only possible if the location is still available.
• The vehicle must have an active booking for the entire stay.

Park & Fly with Repark is not only relevant for holidays. On a business trip, too, a reserved space plus the train to the airport can make sense.

Tips for the journey to Vienna Airport

1. Do not book on the lowest day rate alone. A cheap location with several changes can be less practical than a slightly pricier space at Hauptbahnhof.

3. Factor in luggage and the walk. 300 to 600 metres can take considerably longer with several suitcases.
